Small Stars is anything but small.

Some of the greatest teaching moments throughout my life have been during sports and play. Moving our bodies is about so much more than just physical health, and I know first hand this is one of the best ways to engage with children. As a mum and an educator, I knew that my children needed a program where they could truly learn through fun and play. When my search for the perfect program came up short, I decided that I could provide it.

I have worked in childcare for many years, both within early childcare centres, and also running a successful family day care business after becoming a mum. I have enjoyed a lifelong love and passion for all things sport, and to this day find the greatest joy engaging in movement and play. In my home life as a parent, and in my professional life as a family day care educator, I constantly found myself coming back to sports and movement to provide valuable teaching moments. I recognised that this is what so many children really respond to in learning, and it allows them to develop a whole range of skills at the same time. I knew a sports program was exactly what my children needed, and it was important for me to give them the opportunities to engage in sport and games to allow them to develop and grow. I knew this was something I could, and most importantly, SHOULD be doing. Before I knew it, I was overflowing with ideas and Small Stars was well and truly becoming a reality. Using my knowledge of early childhood education, along with my extensive experience in sports and movement, I have created a program that will be fun, challenging and exciting. Learning through play is so important to me as a mum and as an educator, so I am absolutely thrilled to provide this opportunity for children today. I am constantly researching and learning more, making sure Small Stars is fun, accessible and unique, so that I can provide children with the starting steps for a fun, fit future. I really hope you enjoy it !!
